Book Launching of 200 Questions and Answers Regarding Autism

Jakarta, 3 April 2010.

Welcoming world autism day, Gayatri Pamoedji, through MPATI (Masyarakat Peduli Autis Indonesia), launched her second book entitled "200 Questions and Answers Regarding Autism" at Graha Niaga, Jakarta, April 3, 2010. This book was inspired by various questions published by multiple parties, especially from parents of children with autism in Indonesia to Gayatri.

MPATI will use the proceeds from the sale of seminar tickets and books to finance the production of a video series on autism treatment guides which will be distributed free of charge to various parts of Indonesia so that people will more easily access information about autism and its treatment. Gayatri believes that: "Through an accurate diagnosis, proper education and strong support from the government, family and wider community, hopes for a better future for children with autism will be realized."

The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Rahayu Sedyaningsih, was also present with 200 parents and observers of autism issues in Indonesia. In his speech, the Indonesian Minister of Health emphasized the Indonesian Government's support for the future of autism in Indonesia, especially in developing prevalence data.
