How to Share Tasks With Husband / Wife / Other Families?

Sharing tasks with husband and wife doesn't only happen in families with autistic children. Good mothers and fathers usually communicate the division of functions between husband and wife. The tasks can be divided according to the strengths of each mother's or father's character and their time. For example, suppose the father is good at math. In that case, the father should do the task of accompanying the child in doing math homework. Likewise, if the mother is more adept at communicating, the mother becomes the child's manager and spokesperson for school matters. Ideally, communication is honest and open.

To motivate dads to be more confident and want more, start by doing fun tasks, for example playing with the child, taking the child swimming, taking the child to play video games, or playing in the bathroom with water. It is hoped that fun things bring the relationship between father and son closer.

Mothers can use this free time to rest when fathers play with children. The division of labor in Indonesia can also be delegated to helpers. Routine tasks such as teaching children to eat, drink or go to the toilet can be trusted by caregivers as long as the mother or father teaches caregivers step by step and monitors the learning process.

Make a list of the work or tasks needed to educate children. For example, each column and box is made up to study math, sports, behavior therapy, speech therapy, and others, depending on the time of day. Discuss this list with your husband about which of these lists he is willing to work on.

Mom remained the manager. Mothers should know in detail what is taught in therapy. Mothers and fathers should know about the programs in the therapy class. Because, in the end, it is the father and mother who will monitor how far the therapy program has been implemented.

For dietary arrangements and eating patterns, make a list of weekly menus where the preparation of dishes can be delegated to the helper. The important thing is that the mother/father monitors them from a hygiene and nutrition perspective. Good planning will reduce uncertainty and stress. In essence, plan to reduce stress and increase the likelihood of success.
